You may think this is a heavily post-processed image, but it’s not — this is what it looked like straight out of the camera.  The only enhancement I’ve made to it is a slight warming tone… everything else is as the image appeared after scanning.

I’m completely baffled as to why it came out like this, but I like the results; it gives an organic dated look that’s impossible to achieve with digital.  Keep in mind that this was shot with a 60-year-old camera and lens combination, which may have something to do with it.

    The few times I tried shooting BW negative film and scanning the results looked something like this, which wasn’t what I intended. I wonder if its the way the characteristics of film and the characteristics of scanners combine?
