      You got that right.

I had a former coworker that married a guy that had never been 30-miles away from his birthplace. He’d never seen the Atlantic Ocean, the Chesapeake Bay, the Potomac River, the nearby “mountains”, or even the nearby states. He was truly a cloistered mama’s boy.

I have no idea if he votes or not. He has since divorced my former coworker (this was just a few years ago); I don’t know if it was because she opened his eyes to travel and the rest of the world, or whether he wanted to remain cloistered.

Interesting that it could be either of those two opposites. I’m glad my husband feels the same as I do about travel. We are getting back to it after the 1st of the year now that our remodel is over.

It could have been one of any number of different things, to be perfectly honest.

Age (she was literally old enough to be his mother), family (his side didn’t get along with her), money (they spent like it was going out of style), etc. Take your pick. 🙂

Cindy and I love to travel and hope to resume now that my shoulder is mostly healed.

We are taking a trip down the coast to San Diego to visit family after the 1st of the year and then making some plans for some trips. I hope your shoulder is healing nicely! Have a great day. 🙂

I absolutely love this composition, seemingly simple. But…all the textures. The hard cold rocks, drifting back into the color and intricate texture of land, the smooth mountains (which at first glance I thought were waves), a bright horizon, and clean sky. Everything in focus. I bet many people wouldn’t have even seen the shot if they happened by this spot.

Thank you, Badfish. You’re absolutely correct; everyone else (and there were dozens of photographers on either side of me) was shooting directly into the sun. Check it out:
