Wow, i just saw you 12k followers. That is amazing
Thank you, but I’m just an amateur compared to Leanne Cole (http://leannecolephotography.com/); she has almost 41K followers now.
How do you do it? Is it the daily posts?
Daily posts, big images that people like, engaging viewers in both the text of the posts and particularly in the comments, following others, being civil, and being featured on Freshly Pressed (https://discover.wordpress.com/).
I might have slowly reached my current number over time, but being featured on Freshly Pressed with this post (https://exploratorius.us/2014/12/31/my-best-images-from-2014/) made them appear within just a few months.
How do i get featured? Thank you for informing more
Posts and WordPress users that are featured are hand-picked by the WordPress staff, usually for a really special topic or post that catches their eye.
Some worthy people are never featured, while others are featured multiple times. Some wait years for the honor, and others are awarded it within a few weeks or months of joining.
I don’t know that there is any specific process or formula in order to be featured, other than observe the others that have been featured and see if you can rise to their level of effort.
Well thank you so for telling me this:) i will just enjoy posting and if it happens, it happens. I just love posting
That’s the spirit! 🙂
Looks like frost or ice. 🙂 Lovely! Happy Easter, Mitch.
Thanks, Janet — and a belated Happy Easter to you as well.
Happy Easter! How beautiful!
Gorgeous photo! I’m heading in tomorrow to see the blossoms ~ early so I can beat the crowds. Happy Easter.
Hope you were able to have a good time in the rain with them. Even then I’d go see them.
Aren’t they beautiful? 😃
Indeed they are, Julie! They’re a springtime ritual for me. 🙂
Indeed, it looks glorious, and must also smell so nice!
Their scent is very faint and not what you would expect. The real beauty is in the visuals.
Oh, that is very interesting to hear. Usually, wherever I see these beauties, one tree is enough to aromatise the whole street.
My pleasure 🙂
This is my first time living near the cherry blossoms and I was able to walk there and wander for as long as I wanted last week. They really are as good as advertised! Your photo is great; mine were OK but I wish I could have captured them even better.
I was first exposed to the cherry blossoms here back in 1977 and have only missed seeing them a handful of times since then. The crowds have grown exponentially over the years, but I still try to make the time to visit because they’re so wonderful to experience.
