I captured this shot a few evenings ago and I still can’t believe it — I almost missed the bluebells this season!  Normally they bloom later and peak is still a week or so away.  But not this year.  I went up to check on them and they were already at peak (or just a little past), so I got as many shots in as I could.  Very much worth it, as it was the finest display I’ve ever seen on the Maryland side of the river.

Oh, me too, Janet! Bluebells are my absolute fave, even more so than cherry blossoms. I like the colors better, there aren’t the crowds (I was the only one there exploring the bluebells), lots of critters — it was pure heaven.
