Screaming Pink

This year is screaming by so fast that I just can’t believe it’s approaching mid-May already.

January?  Yep, I remember it without issue.

February?  Yep, fine there as well.

March?  Um, I’m a little fuzzy with March.

April?  What!  April’s gone already?!  Yeeeesh!  April just vanished off my radar, and now summer is nearly upon us.

I missed so many flower shots this year, including my favorites — Virginia bluebells.  I was disappointed, but I’ll be ready for them next year.  In the meantime, I’m taking shots of other blooms that I sometimes overlook, like rhododendrons.

Bwahahahahaha!!! That’s funny — no offense taken!

Yes, I’m aging. My creaky back tells me so, as do my weakening eyes and rapidly graying hair — which noticeably loses more color with each visit to the barber, though it remains nice and thick due to maternal genes.

Mentally I feel like I’m still in my early thirties, just more wizened and mature… but my body is saying otherwise, and reminds me everyday that I’m no longer a youth.

I’m sorry you missed the bluebells. I’ve never had any myself, so I don’t really know what I’m missing. Anyway, I’ll look forward to seeing yours next year. With time flying so fast, it will seem like only a few minutes, right?
